The Ridin’ Dirty Run

The Ridin’ Dirty Run

The 1st Ridin’ Dirty Run was held in the Pine Barrens of Wharton State Forest in NJ.  This was the first signature run held by GPAX in the state of New Jersey.  This was truly a dirty run as the maze of trails in the Pine Barrens are covered with mud this time of year.  Some trails offered bypasses to avoid the large mud bogs and pits, while many others offered no escape from the mud, sand, and organic decay.  One truck really suffered from the lone hill climb and had to be towed out of the Pineys and trailered home.  This was the last official run held by GPAX in the Pine Barrens do due the amount of damage and headache the mud can cause.

Fun Fact:  This was also where the origin of “El Presidente” came about.
